Welcome to Our Parish

Welcome to St. Mary of the Hills Parish, a Roman Catholic Church and School (Grades pre-k through 8) nestled close to the Blue Hills in Milton, Massachusetts. We hope that our website provides you with the information you need to nurture and support your faith here in the parish and beyond.

If you are new to the parish, we extend a special welcome to you and pray that you will find a warm home here. Please introduce yourself to one of the priests after Mass or stop by the Rectory. If you would like to register, you will find the form you need here.

We invite all our parishioners to join fully in our life at St. Mary’s. We serve the community through worship, outreach, education, social activities, sacramental preparation, and comfort to the sick and those who mourn. Feel free to contact us if we may be of service to you in any way.

RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process through which an adult is received into the Catholic Church. It consists of educational sessions and liturgical rites. Do you know someone who is interested in our faith? Invite them to participate in the Inquiry Phase on Thursday evenings at 7 P.M. beginning September 29 at St. Mary of the Hills Rectory. Once again we’re offering RCIA collaboratively with St. Elizabeth’s Parish. The Rites will be celebrated in the respective parish of the participant.

Contact Harry Feldmann at St. Mary’s 617-696-0120 or Laura Phelan at St. Elizabeth’s 617-696-6688 For further information.  Or just show up on Thursday!  Fnd out more about RCIA.

Bereavement Support Group: Walking through Grief:  Are you hurting from the loss of a loved one? You aren’t alone. Sessions for those experiencing loss through death of a family member or friend begin October 11th, for 7 consecutive Tuesdays, from 6:00 P.M. -7:30 P.M.  ending on November 22nd.   Sponsored by the Milton Catholic Churches, fall sessions take place at St. Mary’s rectory. The facilitators are Pastoral Associate Harry Feldmann and Mental Health Counselor Linda Garvey-Dickey.

After the loss of a loved one we expect to go through some kind of grief process. We must work through it; and it may be the hardest work we will ever attempt.  Our mourning will have no time limit; it will not proceed logically or step-by-step, and may hit us over and over again.  Hopefully the prayer and support of a bereavement group will help us to obtain a sense of solace and healing as we try to bring light to the darkness of grief.  For further information or to pre-register call Harry at 617-696-0120 or email.

Parish Fellowship: Every Sunday, join your friends and neighbors for a cup of coffee and conversation after the 10:15 Family Liturgy or before the Noon Mass.  If you'd like to be involved in the fellowship minstry, contact us at the rectory.

Please make sure to check the bulletin for all of the latest parish news and upcoming events.

Our Director of New Evangelization reflects weekly on the Gospel.  Go to Frank's blog to read all of his articles.
