Ways to Donate to St. Mary of the Hills

St. Mary of the Hills is a Stewardship Parish. As Christian stewards, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others and return them with increase to the Lord. Parishioners share their time, talent and treasure in recognition that all is a gift from God.

We are all living as stewards of God’s gifts – every day that we care for our own bodies and souls, our children and parents, our homes and environment. We ask that you also discern your gifts to see whether you may share them with your parish. The U.S. Catholic bishops in their Pastoral Letter on Stewardship state that “Only by being generous stewards of … their parishes can Catholics of the United States hope to make them the vital sources of faith-filled Christian dynamism they are meant to be.”

Our parish tithes 10% of the offertory collection to share with those in need. See a list of recipients here.

Regarding Special Collections

We will adopt the revised special collection schedule for the Archdiocese of Boston beginning in January,2018.

The Archdiocese strategically looked at the collections in light of the mission of the Catholic Church instead of as individual collections.  In doing so, they we able to group collections and reduce the number from 17 to 10.  Many collections are now grouped under a common mission category.

  • Support of the Church Around the World
  • Promoting the Gospel
  • Holy Father & Missionary Efforts

Parishioners who donate to special collections electronically are encouraged to update their accounts as soon as possible.  Please contact us if you need assistance.  Thank you.
